Linux on POWER Open Source Developer Contest is an IBM® sponsored competition "aimed at showcasing innovative new open source applications that are designed specifically for Linux running on the PPC architecture.", as you can read on the website www.linuxonpower.com.

Participants in tiers 2 and 3 compete in porting an existing application to linux on the PowerPC architecture.
elastiC has been choosen as one of the Tier 2 applications for the contest.

If you decide to participate to the contest and choose elastiC, you have to follow the contest rules and satisfy the following requirements, which are specific to elastiC:

• You can participate using the latest development version of elastiC, namely elastiC 0.0.37.
• Your port must not break other architectures.
• The port should pass the greatest possible number of regression tests (as launched by make check). More specifically it should fail at most in 8 test cases (unless some of the test cases necessarily loose meaning because of platform or environment peculiarities).
• The port should make use of the existing build system (autoconf, automake, ...).
• The port should respect elastiC coding stanards.
